<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a golf ball, capable of providing a crosslinked molding having an enhanced resilience and a reasonable hardness by reviewing various types of additives to be blended in the rubber composition. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a golf ball contains (A) a base material rubber containing a polybutadiene containing ≥60 mass% of a cis-1,4-bond, (B) an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or its metal salt, and (C) a benzimidazole represented by formula (1), wherein R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>are a hydrogen atom or a 1-20C hydrocarbon group; m is an integer of 1 to 4; and n is an integer of 1 to 4, provided that when m and/or n is ≥2, n and m may be identical or different. The present invention can provide a crosslinked molding having a reasonable hardness, a high resilience and a high quality. Application thereof particularly to a material of a one-piece golf ball or a solid core material of a multilayer solid golf ball can provide a high initial velocity, an elongated carry and a good hitting feeling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
