摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide superconducting wire capable of displaying sufficient superconducting characteristics since formation of a polycrystal material portion is suppressed even in the case of a thick-film oxide superconducting layer, and a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the oxide superconducting wire uses a coating thermal decomposition method, and includes an oriented metal substrate manufacturing process for manufacturing an oriented metal substrate in which a metal crystal surface forming the aggregate structure of metal crystal grains on the surface of the oriented metal substrate 31 is inclined at a prescribed angle to the surface of the oriented metal substrate, an intermediate layer forming process for forming an intermediate layer on the manufactured oriented metal substrate, and an oxide superconducting layer forming process for forming the oxide superconducting layer on the intermediate layer using the coating thermal decomposition method.
