Coating composition for applying to plant structures of ornamental plants such as a seed of ornamental plants from which roots and shoots are capable of growing, wherein the said coating composition comprises organic material in particulate form having a melting point of > 50°Centigrade, methods of making such compositions and coated ornamental plant structures.
