<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED device having improved light distribution characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: An LED device 10 comprises two rectangular LED dies 15, 16 including n-side electrodes 15a, 16a at positions displaced from the center of an electrode plane, and arranged at positions such that long sides of both LED dies 15, 16 become parallel with each other and the n-side electrodes 15a, 16a become rotationally symmetric with each other with respect to the center of the circuit board 12 when flip-chip bonded on a circuit board 12.
