<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work system for board which allows an operator to hold or release circuit boards easily by means of a plurality of board holding devices. <P>SOLUTION: In a work system for board, circuit boards are transported over a plurality of work machines arranged from the upstream side to the downstream side, one circuit board is held fixedly at two or more positions out of the work positions for board of the plurality of work machines, and work can be carried out for the one circuit board. A plurality of operation switches 88, 89 are provided in correspondence with the board holding devices 27 of the plurality of work machines in order to hold or release the circuit board. When one of the plurality of operation switches is operated, operation of the plurality of board holding devices is controlled based on the operation of the one operation switch.
