EPOXY RESIN CONTAINING PHOSPHORUS AND NITROGEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new flame-retardant resin whose flame retardancy and cured material properties are infinitely advanced.

SOLUTION: There is provided an epoxy resin containing phosphorus and nitrogen in a molecule, obtained by reacting (α) a phosphorus compound represented by general formula (1), (β) acyanuric acid and (γ) a novolak type epoxy resin having a binuclear body content of ≤15 area%, a trinuclear body content of 15-60 area% in measurement by gel permeation chromatography and a molecular weight distribution of a number-average molecular weight of 350-700.
