<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power amplifier that is insensitive to element variations and frequency characteristics and is low in loss. <P>SOLUTION: An input signal input from an input terminal IN is amplified by an amplification element Tr1. An output signal of the amplification element Tr1 is amplified by an amplification element Tr2. An output signal of the amplification element Tr2 is output from an output terminal OUT. A matching circuit M3 is connected between an output of the amplification element Tr2 and the output terminal OUT. A switch SW1 is connected between an output of the amplification element Tr1 and an input of the amplification element Tr2. One end of a switch SW2 is connected to the output of the amplification element Tr1.
