<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polarization coupler which can be processed easily, and can prevent or reduce propagation in higher order mode not required in a circular main waveguide, while getting a good broadband impedance matching between the circular main waveguide and a rectangular tube axis sub-waveguide. <P>SOLUTION: A coupling part of a circular main waveguide 1 to a rectangular tube axis sub-waveguide 3 is a transformation part 1c for transforming the circular main waveguide 1 and the rectangular tube axis sub-waveguide 3. In the transformation part 1c, the length of the rectangular tube axis sub-waveguide in the radial direction perpendicular to the wide face of the rectangular tube axis sub-waveguide becomes shorter gradually toward the rectangular tube axis sub-waveguide 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
