LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of color irregularity in a periphery of a liquid crystal panel after a front window is adhered to the liquid crystal panel.

SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes: a TFT substrate where a plurality of TFT patterns each including a scanning signal line, a data signal line and a pixel electrode are formed; a color filter substrate disposed to oppose to the TFT substrate; and a plurality of columnar spacer formed on the color filter substrate on a surface opposing to the TFT substrate. At least a part of the plurality of TFT patterns has a pedestal that is formed above the scanning signal line or below the pixel electrode and directly or indirectly supports one of the plurality of columnar spacers. An area for supporting the columnar spacer of a pedestal included in a TFT pattern formed in a center part of the TFT substrate is larger than an area for supporting a columnar spacer of a pedestal included in a TFT pattern formed outside the center part of the TFT substrate.
