<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a designed pressure of an evaporator to be disposed on a low pressure side by preventing an increase in equalized pressure on a low pressure side of a refrigerant circuit, in employing a supercritical refrigeration cycle that uses carbon dioxide as a refrigerant, in a container refrigerator. <P>SOLUTION: This refrigeration device 1 for container includes a refrigerant circuit 10 formed by sequentially connecting a compressor 21, a gas cooler 22, an expanding mechanism 23 and an evaporator 24, to perform supercritical refrigeration cycle that uses carbon dioxide as a refrigerant. A receiver 27 is disposed between the gas cooler 22 and the first expanding mechanism 26. The receiver 27 is provided with a supercooling heat exchanger 28 for cooling the refrigerant located in the receiver 27 by the refrigerant moving toward the suction of the compressor 21 from an outlet of the evaporator 24.
