The control element has an operation lever (1) that is moved between a rest position and a maximum position at a bearing housing portion (2). A first magnet arranged at the operation lever is moved along with the operation lever. A second magnet is arranged on the bearing housing portion. A spring clip element (7) is provided for generating return force to reset the operation lever in a swiveling portion towards the rest position. The magnets are arranged adjacent to each other, when the operation lever is pivoted from the rest position into a first position.
