<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based pigment ink for inkjet, excellent in storage stability and capable of obtaining a high-quality image having no white stripes, color unevenness and intercolor bleeding on a highly hydrophobic paper such as a general printing paper, particularly a coated paper or art paper. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based pigment ink for inkjet contains a pigment, pigment-dispersing resin, water, water-soluble solvent and fluorine-based surfactant. The fluorine-based surfactant is a compound represented by a specified structural formula.
