<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber unit which can be easily stored in an optical cable while securing excellent separability, discriminability, and batch fusion connectivity in the case of improving integration by unitizing a plurality of optical fibers. <P>SOLUTION: An optical unit 1 including a plurality of optical fibers (illustrated as four optical fibers 11a to 11d) is constituted by arranging the optical fibers 11a to 11d in two lines and multiple rows (two lines and two rows in the case), and intermittently connecting the optical fibers 11a to 11d in a longitudinal direction. Then, a connection part 21 is constituted by fixing the optical fibers 11a to 11d in a batch.
