PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a photographic image of actual environment with which an appropriate presentation image is blended in without performing preliminary processing such as installing a marker in the actual environment.

SOLUTION: A shape estimation unit 31 estimates an area having a surface in a background image; and a presentation area selection unit 33 selects an area in which a pixel value of each pixel in the area shows simple color or gradation of simple color, and having the surface estimated by the shape estimation unit 31 and a predetermined size or more as an area with which a presentation image is overlapped. A presentation image selection unit 36 selects a presentation image from a plurality of presentation images stored in a presentation image storage unit 37 on the basis of a position of the own apparatus obtained by an actual environment information obtaining unit 32, actual environment information such as a direction of movement, and attribute information of a user obtained by a user information obtaining unit 34. A display control unit 38 controls a display device 40 such that the presentation image selected by the presentation image selection unit 36 is presented overlapped in the area selected by the presentation area selection unit 33.
