The invention relates to heat technology and can be used for heating water. The problem addressed by the invention is that of increasing energy efficiency. To solve the stated problem, an electric three-phase heater, comprising a body with an inlet and an outlet pipe, with a flanged base with fastening studs and with a neutral electrode and phase electrodes on a plastics base, is proposed, wherein the neutral electrode is in the form of a metal rod mounted along the centre of the heater body, and the phase electrodes and the neutral electrode are spatially oriented by a spacer and are mounted on the base of an electrode unit, wherein two shaped longitudinal recesses of differing radius are formed on the surface of each phase electrode, and the spacer is in the shape of a truncated parabolic cone with threaded openings along the perimeter under the phase electrodes and with a passage opening in the centre under the neutral electrode, which increases the level of heat transfer because of a constant separation of the boundary layer of the heat-transfer agent by vortical constrictors.
