<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control correction for a positional deviation between colors and correction for an image magnification ratio deviation in a main scan direction. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a main scan direction correction means detecting the image magnification ratio deviation in the main scan direction, during an image writing period and correcting an image magnification ratio in the main scan direction based on the detection result of the image magnification ratio deviation, during a non-writing period; a storage means holding the image magnification ratio in the main scan direction before correction by the main scan direction correction means; and a positional deviation correction means forming a positional deviation detection toner image pattern for each color component, during the non-writing period, detecting the positional deviation between colors based on the position of the formed toner image pattern, and correcting the positional deviation between colors based on the detection result. The positional deviation correction means applies the image magnification ratio in the main scan direction before correction while the toner image pattern for each color component is formed, and the main scan direction correction means corrects the image magnification ratio in the main scan direction after the toner image pattern for each color component is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
