<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin handling device capable of transporting a coin input from a coin slot upward without increasing the number of motors and a size when a switchable storage mechanism to switch the coin into the storage by its denomination is arranged higher than the coin slot. <P>SOLUTION: A lifting mechanism 4 includes a coin guide vertical wall 20 to guide a back side of a coin moved onto a coin support surface 12, a lower pulley 30 journaled rotatably with being faced to a front side of the coin guide vertical wall and movably in an axis direction orthogonal to the front side of the coin guide vertical wall, an upper pulley 50 journaled rotatably with being faced to the front side of the coin guide vertical wall and movably in an axis direction, and a coin lifting belt 55 looped over the lower pulley and the upper pulley.
