Provided in the present invention are a method and device for handling a short-term pulse interference. The device comprises a high-pass filter module, a pulse-detection module, and a pulse-elimination module. An impact of absolute amplitude on a signal is eliminated via high-pass filtering. The pulse-detection module detects for the short-term pulse interference, and outputs a pulse indication. The pulse-elimination module eliminates the short-term pulse interference in the signal. Also, the high-pass filtering and the pulse interference-elimination are both performed on the basis of the pulse indication. The method performs primary handling in the time-domain, is easy to implement, and is highly effective in the elimination of the pulse interference.
