AN IMPROVED CO2 ABSORPTION SOLUTION Abstract Disclosed is a method for catalysis of the following reaction: 5 C02 + H20 HCO 3 + H providing a formulation comprising water; at least one reaction compound selected from alkaline salt, carbonates, sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate, amines, ultra-lean amines, alkyleneamines, a physical solvent, alkyl ethers of alkylene glycols, io dimethylether of polyethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether, cold methanol, aminoethers, aminoalcohols, 2-substituted piperidine alcohols, piperazine, piperazine derivatives, a mixture of amines and physical absorbents, ionic liquid, a liquid comprising a cation and an anion having a carboxylate function, and a combination thereof, the water and the at least one reaction compound forming a solution; and carbonic anhydrase to 15 enhance the catalysis of the reaction. |
