<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a pneumatic tire, by which the thickness uniformity of a bonded part where an inner liner and an unvulcanized rubber sheet are bonded to each other on a drum, is improved, so that air is prevented from remaining in the bonded part and the chance of peeling in the bonded part is decreased. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the pneumatic tire comprises the steps of: layering the inner liner 2 on the unvulcanized rubber sheet to produce a laminate in such a manner that the width-direction ends 2a and 2b of the former and the width-direction ends 3a and 3b of the latter are shifted positionally to each other in the width direction; cutting the laminate into cut sheets each having fixed length corresponding to the width of the drum; winding the cut sheet all around the periphery of the drum so that the inner liner is abutted on the surface of the drum and bonding the ends of the wound inner liner to each other and those of the wound unvulcanized rubber sheet to each other in such a manner that the position of the bonded part of the former is shifted to that of the bonded part of the latter by a fixed distance. The inner liner comprises two layers. At least one layer comprises an isobutylene-based polymer block and an aromatic vinyl compound-based polymer block.
