The coupling device (10) has two coupling parts (12,14) to be coupled to two shaft sections, where the former coupling part has multiple coupling protrusions arranged at regular angular intervals around a central axis (L) of the former coupling part. The coupling protrusions are arranged in two coupling planes (E1,E2) located orthogonally with respect to the central axis of the former coupling part. The latter coupling part has a corresponding number of coupling protrusions arranged at regular angular intervals around the central axis of the latter coupling part.
