<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for easily selecting a favorable specimen as an observation object. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging control unit of a microscope controller acquires an image of a specimen imaged by the imaging system of the microscope. A position adjustment unit shifts the view field of the microscope in the direction crossing with the optical axis of the microscope. An analysis unit analyzes a plurality of images acquired by shifting the view field in a preparatory observation and obtains the amount of features of specimens included in the images. A determination unit determines an observation object from the specimens according to the amount of features. A control unit controls the position adjustment unit to perform setting such that the view field includes the observation object, and causes the imaging control unit to acquire images of the observation object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
