<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoforming device and a forming method capable of performing such a thermoforming that a shaping material body is quickly heated or the shaping material body is quickly heated and is subjected to cooling process and, in particular, the shaping material body is subjected to heat treatment at a temperature of a preheated sheet temperature before shaping or higher, then the shaping material body is shaped and released from molds, these processes being efficiently and continuously carried out at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The thermoforming device of a resin sheet comprises: male/female forming molds which include a mold (hereinafter referred to as an injection mold) provided with a function for injecting at least either of a cooling gas and a heating gas from a gas injection hole provided on a forming surface of either a male mold or a female mold and a space-forming function for diffusing the injected gas over the entire surface of the shaping material body, and another mold (hereinafter referred to a holding mold) corresponding to the injection mold; and a means for introducing compressed gas into the injection mold.
