<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarized lighting apparatus that can reduce glare on the irradiated surface due to reflection light and has excellent utilization efficiency of emission light from a light source. <P>SOLUTION: The polarized lighting apparatus (1) includes a light source (11) and a wire grid polarizer (121) which polarizes and separates light emitted from the light source (11) into straight-line polarized light.
