<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which is excellent in maintainability and enables size reduction and cost reduction of a second dust collecting device. <P>SOLUTION: The second dust collecting device 42 includes a second centrifugal separation section 51. The second centrifugal separation section 51 has a separation section body 54 centrifuging dust by whirling dust-containing air. The second centrifugal separation section 51 has a lid part 55 positioned on the upper side of the separation section body 54 detachably in relation to this body 54 and opening and closing the upper side of the body 54 by detachment and attachment. The second dust collecting device 42 is equipped with a dust collecting case 52 accommodating the dust separated by the second centrifugal separation section 51. The dust collecting case 52 separated from the second centrifugal separation section 51, is positioned on the lower side of the separation section body 54 and connected detachably to the lower side of the body 54. The second dust collecting device 42 has a clamp 53 provided in the separation section body 54.
