A method of handling long term evaluation positioning protocol (LPP) data for a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises initiating a transmission for transmitting a protocol data unit (PDU) of a long term evaluation positioning protocol (LPP) layer of the mobile device, to a base station of the wireless communication system; and retransmitting the LPP PDU to the base station when the transmission is failed.
