<p>An array substrate and a liquid crystal display. The array substrate (2) comprises: a grid line (21) and a data line (22) that intersect vertically and horizontally and determine a pixel unit, a plate electrode positioned in a pixel unit, a slit electrode having a slit, and a thin film transistor (TFT). The array substrate is provided with an orientation layer. In one pixel unit, an outer first side (241) and an inner second side (242) of one end of the slit electrode and a third side (211) of a grid line of an adjacent pixel unit are perpendicular to an orientation direction of the orientation layer, the end of the slit electrode being away, in the direction of the data line, from an area in which the TFT lies. The second side (211) is positioned at the slit of the slit electrode, and the third side (211) is a side that is in the grid line of the adjacent pixel unit and is the closest to the first side (241).</p> |
