摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling an internal combustion engine, configured to control the burnt gas fraction in a cylinder under transient conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The method for controlling the internal combustion engine includes the steps of: acquiring a torque setpoint T<SB POS="POST">q</SB><SP POS="POST">sp</SP>for the internal combustion engine (1); determining a position setpoint of actuators by using a burnt gas flow model (MEGB) having a cylinder filling model (MR) for relating the position setpoint VVT<SB POS="POST">int</SB>of a first actuator (8) and the position setpoint VVT<SB POS="POST">exh</SB>of a second actuator (9) to the internal combustion engine torque setpoint T<SB POS="POST">q</SB><SP POS="POST">sp</SP>; and adjusting the burnt gas fraction in the cylinder by applying the position setpoints VVT<SB POS="POST">int</SB>and VVT<SB POS="POST">exh</SB>to variable timing means (8, 9). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
