<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator having a simple structure, allowing size and cost to be easily reduced, and capable of surely providing dustproof/drip-proof effect. <P>SOLUTION: This actuator includes a housing composed by closing a working space side and forming an installation surface side into an opening, a slider protrusively arranged on the working space side through the opening, and a drive means to reciprocatively move the slider along the longitudinal direction of the housing.
