摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a white toner with high productivity, having excellent high temperature offset resistance so as to prevent the occurrence of transfer omission; and an electrophotographic toner produced by the method. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a white toner containing a binder resin, titanium oxide particles as a colorant, and silica particles comprises: a step 1 of producing a mixture by mixing components including a binder resin, titanium oxide particles, and silica particles; a step 2 of producing a kneaded material by melt kneading the produced mixture; and a step 3 of pulverizing and classifying the produced kneaded material. The usage amount of the titanium oxide particles in the step 1 is 25 to 200 weight parts relative to 100 weight parts of the binder resin. The usage amount of the silica particles in the step 1 is 0.25 to 4.5 weight parts relative to 100 weight parts of the binder resin. The silica particles in the step 1 has a number average primary particle diameter of 5 to 20 nm. An electrophotographic toner is produced by the method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
