<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device for a vehicle which can detect failure in a master system even when a brake operating member is not operated. <P>SOLUTION: The braking device for a vehicle, which generates a master cylinder pressure by driving master pistons (14 and 15), includes a pressure accumulating section (431) accumulating a pressurized brake oil, a servo pressure generating section (4) composed so that a servo pressure may be generated irrespective of an operation of the brake operating member using the brake oil within the pressure accumulating section, a brake oil consuming amount correlative value detecting means (73, 74, and 75) for detecting a brake oil consuming amount correlative value which correlates with a brake oil consuming amount within the pressure accumulating section, and a failure detecting means (6) for detecting failure in the master system based on the brake oil consuming amount correlative value detected by the brake oil consuming amount correlative value detecting means at that time when the master pistons are driven using only a servo pressure by means of a servo pressure generating section in such a condition that the brake operating member is not operated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
