<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner capable of reducing the error in beam pitch in a sub-scanning direction on a surface to be scanned. <P>SOLUTION: A scanning optical system includes a first scanning lens made of resin and a second scanning lens made of resin. The second scanning lens has a surface on the emission side, which has the strongest power in the direction corresponding to sub-scanning. Each of the second scanning lenses (2107a and 2107b) allows light beams from a light emitting part ch1 and from a light emitting part ch40 to pass through at adjacent positions in the direction corresponding to sub-scanning. The second scanning lens is positioned between the conjugate point of an aperture for a light beam proceeding to an image height of 0 mm of a photoreceptor drum and the conjugate point of an aperture for a light beam proceeding to an image height of 164 mm of the photoreceptor drum, in the orthogonal main and sub directions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
