<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather device capable of suppressing intrusion of moisture into a transfer case mounted on a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In a breather box 1 of a separate placement type for ventilating in the transfer case 70, a bulkhead part 51 is provided which is formed by vertically separating the inside of a housing part through which intake air passes, into two stages. Further, in a lower stage layer 45 on a lower side of the bulkhead part 51, a passage in a labyrinth structure is formed which is defined in a labyrinth shape by a partition wall, and a bottom part of the passage is formed in an inclined shape lowering gradually toward a drain port 29. Thereby, even if air sucked in from a breathing port 35 is in a mist form containing much moisture, separation of moisture can be promoted when the air passes through the passage in the labyrinth structure, and separated moisture can be efficiently discharge outside.
