摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferroelectric liquid crystal composition excellent in impact resistance and response quickness and to provide a response time accelerator for a ferroelectric liquid crystal used therein. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a response time accelerator for a ferroelectric liquid crystal, comprising a chiral compound having a phenylpyrimidine skeleton and, optionally, like compounds.
