<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer roller cleaning device which can be easily operated, maintained, and controlled, can achieve a space saving and cost reduction, and can suppress a consumption amount of carrier liquid, in an electrophotographic printer. <P>SOLUTION: A transfer roller cleaning device 20 has: a supply roller 22 dipped in carrier liquid in a carrier liquid vessel 30; a cleaning roller 21 for rotating in rubbing contact with the supply roller 22 and a transfer roller 12, and supplying the carrier liquid received from the supply roller 22 to a surface of the transfer roller 12; and a carrier liquid circulation unit which includes the carrier liquid vessel 30, supplies the carrier liquid in a storage tank into the carrier liquid vessel 30 by a pump, returns the carrier liquid overflowing from the carrier liquid vessel 30 to the storage tank through an overflow liquid recovery path 45, and circulates the carrier liquid.
