A permanent magnet type concentrated winding motor having a configuration wherein the number of poles is M, teeth (T), around which coils are wound in a concentrated manner, are arranged on a stator (Sr) at regular intervals in the circumferential direction, with the number of said teeth being N, M = (18 ± 4)n and N = 18n are satisfied (where n is an integer, n >= 1), an armature winding (AW) has m parallel circuits (where m is an even number expressed by m >= 2 and is a divisor of 2n), and each 1-phase-equivalent circuit of the parallel circuits is configured by serially connecting 6n/m coils. Because this motor is compact and highly efficient with little torque ripples and a low second-order electromagnetic excitation force in terms of spatial order, the motor creates little vibrations/noises. Also, because the formation of the parallel circuits allows the windings to be made thinner, the winding fill factor is improved, and the workability is also improved.
|
