发明名称 QSD1 GENE GOVERNING SEED DORMANCY OF PLANTS, AND USE THEREOF
摘要 <p>Qsd1 gene which governs the seed dormancy of barley can be identified successively by a positional cloning technique. A single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) that correlates with the above-mentioned seed dormancy and is located in the gene can also be specified successively, and it can be found out successively that an individual in which a weakly seed-dormant gene is dominant and the gene is heterogeneous has a weakly seed-dormant genotype. Further, based on the sequence information on Qsd1 gene of barley, the corresponding Qsd1 gene of wheat can also be identified successively. Then, it is found that the determination of the degree of seed dormancy of a plant and the production of a plant having altered seed dormancy can be achieved with high efficiency using the identified gene.</p>
