The filter (10) has liquid flow openings (56, 58) connecting a retainer inner chamber (68) of an additive container (48) with a region (64) of an element inner chamber (30) outside of the additive container. An adapter ring (54) is arranged in a region of a front end of the container turned towards an element passage (38). The adapter ring circumferentially cooperates with the container and a connection end disk (34) and a support tube (44) of a filter element (26) in an axial direction and/or a radial direction relative to a filter element axle (24) in a force-transferring manner.
