<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact heat storage device having high heat insulation property, achieving cost reduction and a low environment load, and also achieving installation even in a limited space, and to provide a water heater including the heat storage device. <P>SOLUTION: This heat storage device 1 includes a hot water storage tank 11 with the whole periphery surrounded by a heat insulation section. The heat insulation section is constituted of at least two layers of vacuum heat insulation spaces 21, 22, and a heat insulating member 20 is filled into each of the vacuum heat insulation spaces 21, 22. The heat storage device 1 includes: a water supply means 30 for supplying water into the hot water storage tank 11; a heating means 32 for heating the water supplied into the hot water storage tank 11 to obtain hot water 2 having a predetermined temperature; and a water discharging means for discharging the hot water 2 from the inside of the hot water storage tank 11. An upper opening 14 having a float valve 19 is formed in the upper surface of the hot water storage tank 11 so as to function as a sole communication port for connecting the inside of the hot water storage tank 11 to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
