<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault detection device for an inverter circuit capable of detecting the fault of current detection means for detecting a current flowing through the inverter circuit before detecting the fault of the inverter circuit and capable of being manufactured easily and at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A fault detection device for an inverter circuit includes: current detection means 10 that includes a shunt resistor 11 connected to an inverter circuit 2 and an amplifier circuit 12 connected in parallel to the shunt resistor 11, and detects a current flowing through the inverter circuit 2; test voltage application means 20 that applies a first test voltage to the current detection means 10; and control means 30 that determines the fault of the current detection means 10 on the basis of the first test voltage, applies a second test voltage to the inverter circuit 2, determines the fault of the inverter circuit 2 on the basis of the applied second test voltage, and controls the inverter circuit 2. The control means 30 determines the fault of the current detection means 10 according to an input of a drive start signal sig1 of the inverter circuit 2, and then determines the fault of the inverter circuit 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
