The invention relates to cutting device (100) which is suitable for cutting oil palm fronds and fresh fruit bunches (FFB), whereby cutting device (100) comprises a cutting assembly; a pair of gearing means; (15, 16) suitably attached to the cutting assembly; a connecting member (13) for connecting the cutting assembly to the gearing means (15,.16) and; a housing (17) for accommodating the cutting assembly and at least one of the gearing means (15); wherein said cutting, assembly comprises:, a cutting member.
