An iron-containing titanium alloy, which exhibits significant strength and hardness, and which contains, without segregation, iron having a composition unattainable using prior art, is inexpensively provided. An alpha+beta or beta titanium alloy is characterized by being produced by subjecting a titanium alloy powder containing 3-15 mass% iron powder to hot extrusion molding or the like. Also, a method for producing an alpha+beta or beta titanium alloy is characterized in that an iron powder in the amount of 3-15 mass% and a titanium alloy powder constituting the remainder are mixed, and subjected to hot extrusion molding.
