摘要 In the present invention, there is disclosed an apparatus for electrically connecting a bore connector (22) and rotor (20) field windings (24) of a dynamoelectric machine comprising a rotor (20), a radial bore (38) in said rotor (20), and a bore connector (22) extending generally in an axial direction along a portion of said rotor (20) and having a generally radially outwardly opening threaded aperture (30). The apparatus comprises a terminal stud (28) located in said radial bore (38). The terminal stud (28) includes an adapter section (40) having threads (44) on a radial inner end thereof for threaded engagement with the bore connector (22) in a threaded and a recess at its opposite end provided with a threaded aperture (30), an opposite end having a recess (46) and a multi-contact electrical connector (52) in said recess (46), an outer section (42) provided with an electrical contact portion (59) at one end thereof for electrical connection with said adapter portion and a leaf copper (34) at an opposite end thereof for engaging the field windings (24) of said rotor (20) whereby said adapter section (40) and said outer section (42) are axially aligned relative to each another and whereby said electrical contact portion (59) of the outer section (42) is received in said recess (46) and is in contact with said multi-contact electrical connector (52) without regard to the rotational orientation of the adapter section(40) relative to the bore connector (22) through the mediation of a threaded connection between the adapter section (40) and the bore connector.(22).
