The method involves scanning (a) at least three points in the space of the to-be-scanned object, and determining a distance vector with at least one of the coordinates of the space point of the object scanned by the laser scanner (1). A close range is determined (c) about a central spatial point with at least two spatial points whose angle coordinates are in a defined angular space adjacent to those of the central spatial point, and the coordinates of spatial points in the close range are aggregated (d).
