A cupboard door comprising a thin-walled outer panel 7 with an inwardly bent edge portion 7<SP>1</SP> and a thin-walled inner panel or "double" 6 has a hinge portion 4, which is retained in the corner of the door between the outer and inner panels by the edge of a recess 8, provided in the inner panel, and is formed with a hub 5 fitting into a hole provided in the corner of the door, the hub being rotatable on a hinge pin 3 carried by the fixed hinge portion 2. The hinge portion 4 is made of plastic material, e.g., a polyamide. The hinge portion 2 comprises a pair of legs 14 connected by a rib 14<SP>1</SP> and a spring 15 located between the legs and retained in position by a spring pin 18, and is fixed to the cupboard by inserting the legs into an opening 22 in the cupboard casing 1 until an abutment 23 on the hinge portion engages the casing and the spring snaps into position behind the casing. A spring ring 17 takes up manufacturing tolerances. The hinge portion 2 can be withdrawn from the cupboard by knocking out the pin 18 to release the spring 15. An angle plate 19 is welded to the casing to strengthen the latter and support the hinge portion 2. |
