A washing machine and a lifter installation structure of the same are provided to replace the lifter easily without dismantling a water tub by inserting a fastening member into the water tub through an air hole of the water tub and detachably fastening the lifter to a rotary tub. A washing machine comprises a water tub, a rotary tub, at least one lifter(40), a fastening member(50), and an air hole(23). The at least one lifter is installed in the rotary tub. The lifter has an engagement unit(42) to be fastened to the rotary tub. The engagement unit is in communication with the air hole. The fastening member fastens the lifter to the rotary tub. The air hole is formed in the water tub. |
