<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-piece solid golf ball which achieves further increase in the yardage of balls and higher controllability especially, straightness in full shooting and excellent anti-scratch property by accomplishing a lower spinning of the ball in full shooting with a driver. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball (G) has a core (1), an envelop layer (2) covering it, an intermediate layer (3) covering it and a cover (4) which covers it and has numerous dimples (D) on its surface. The core (1) includes two layers, an inner layer (1a) and an outer layer (1b), formed mainly out of a rubber material and the outer layer (1b) is harder than the inner core (1a). The thickness of the envelop layer, the intermediate layer and the cover satisfies the requirement of thickness of the cover<thickness of intermediate layer<thickness of envelop layer while the material hardness (Shore D hardness) of the envelop layer, intermediate layer and cover satisfies the requirement of material hardness of envelop layer<material hardness of intermediate layer>material hardness of cover. As a result, this accomplishes a lower spinning tendency of the ball in full shooting with a driver and thus, achieves further increase in the carry of the ball and higher controllability, especially, straightness in full shooting and excellent ant-scratch property as well. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
