Between inner and outer relatively rotatable members 28, 30, is fitted a bush comprising inner and outer rigid sleeves 34, 35 and a tubular layer of resilient rubber or rubber-like material bonded to the sleeves, one sleeve 35 being made of hard rubber and rotatable on the member 28 to which it is fitted. The hard rubber sleeve may be the inner or outer sleeve, the other sleeve being of metal and fixed relative to the member to which it is fitted. Alternatively both sleeves may be of hard rubber. In the form shown two bushes are fitted between the members 28, 30 and are separated by tubular spacers 32, 33. The hard rubber sleeve may have flanged ends which project beyond the ends of the other sleeve. The hard rubber may comprise 45-55% by weight of nitrile rubber, 35-45% of a mineral filler (e.g. Kaolin) and 2-5% of zinc or lead stearate, and preferably has a hardness of 85 Shore. |
