PURPOSE: A water-level detecting device for a dehumidifier is provided to reduce the possibility of malfunctions while facilitating installation with a simple structure, and to maintain the condition extending lifespan as corrosion is prevented by being installed outside of a reservoir tank. CONSTITUTION: A water-level detecting device comprises a float(4), a magnet(6), and a lead switch(8). The float moves up and down by the water level of a reservoir tank in which condensed water dehumidified from a dehumidifier is stored. The magnet is elevated along with the float installed on the float. If the water level of the reservoir tank(2) is lower than a certain amount, the lead switch operates by changing into on state by magnetic force. The lead switch is operated by turning a switch off, and operates/stops the operation of the dehumidifier once the water level of the reservoir exceeds the certain level.
