<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress trouble caused by battery voltage drop in a router device that utilizes a battery power source. <P>SOLUTION: A router device 20 is capable of utilizing a battery power source and a commercial power source. When using the battery power source, a battery voltage is detected by a battery voltage detecting ADC 58 and a magnitude of the battery voltage is displayed on a remaining power supply LED 61. Furthermore, when using the battery power source, the router device 20 prohibits firmware write and further, when the battery voltage becomes less than a threshold Th2, write of setting information is prohibited.
